Dutch Lily Days also in 2012

The participating companies of the Dutch Lily Days decided to have a second event in 2012. This is the result of the evaluation they held at the end of June.  During the first edition hundreds of visitors attended the open houses given by the lily hybridizers and lily exporters. It was a unanimous conclusion that the need was great for this event.  The results were definitely bigger than expected.

Fifteen of the most important lily companies joined forces during the Dutch Lily Days. During the 5 days all fifteen companies held there open houses at the same time. Customers, lily bulb growers, flower growers, breeders and importers reacted very enthusiastically.

The response from several foreign visitors was how productive it was to visit all companies in one week.  One participant reflected, “We had visitors from China, Italy, South Africa, Vietnam and Iran in the house at the same time.”

The second edition of the Dutch Lily Day’s will be held again in week 21. The companies will open their doors from May 22 through May 25 2012(please make note in your next year itinerary).
